The MOUNTAIN ARTS PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY (MAPS) was founded in 2010 as an all-volunteer, and a non-profit organization for photographers wanting to expand their knowledge. MAPS became a place where local photographers living and working in the Southern California communities of the San Bernardino Mountains could come together to share ideas, knowledge, and fellowship. The clubs data-base span of membership grew to over sixty people. The average attendance at a monthly meeting is between twelve and twenty members. The photographic proficiency of the members range from beginners and intermediate level photographers to seasoned professionals. Some club members have become involved in galleries, shows, and competitions as a result of their time spent with the MAPS club.
Membership Fee: The first meeting is free to visitors and prospective members. Membership dues are $5.00 per each meeting attendance.
Meeting Time: The group meets once-a-month on the first Wednesday of each month except for holidays and weather events. The doors open at 6:30 PM for socializing. The meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM and generally runs to about 8:30 to 9:00 PM.
Meeting Location: Meetings are currently being held in the Mountain Arts Network (MAN) Community Arts Center. The Community Art Center (CAC) is located at the lower level of Lake Arrowhead Village in The Peninsula Suite R-120, along the Waterfront at the bottom of the west side steps.[VILLAGE MAP LINK]
