My brother, Walter and I were introduced to photography, while we grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts. People took pictures of us in black and white with brownie cameras. Walter, later got one of his own, and was taking pictures everywhere.
I soon started a weekly paper route, and was soon given a choice of prizes for selling over 25 papers a week. I chose a brownie camera with a flash attachment. Soon, I was taking pictures everywhere, also. I joined a camera club in high school, and learned how to develop black and white film.
I bought a Bell and Howell movie camera, in the mid 1960’s. The movies had no sound. It was then that I was asked to take movies, of a teenage group that met on Tuesday nights in a Full Gospel Church, in Salem, Massachusetts. I agreed, and took a few movies for the group.
In 1969, I moved to California, and soon took a lot of pictures of people, scenery, and animals, mostly in color.
I visited the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park with friends in 2005.
